I qualified as a vet from Liverpool University in 1993 (yes, I'm that old!).
I have since worked in several small animal practices but did have a break where I qualified as a teacher & taught veterinary nurse students.
I joined Companion Care in 2016 where I work Monday, Friday & Saturday mornings. I have 2 cats-Esme & Rosa. They have just celebrated their 1st birthday; they are adorable but extremely naughty! I live locally with my husband & especially enjoy pottering in the garden.

FEB 2023- CURRENTLY ON MATERNITY LEAVE

I first began working at Companion Care in 2015 after graduating from Salford University with a degree in Wildlife Conservation & Zoo Biology. I had always wanted to work with animals and veterinary science was of large interest to me during my studies.

I started as a Veterinary Care Assistant; assisting at reception & with the clinical team as needed. I loved the variety of each day with both the support and clinical team, and getting to know all the clients and their pets. I took on additional responsibilities in 2017 and had the opportunity to learn and develop further in the role of Practice Administrator. Most recently I took on the role of Practice Manager in December 2020. I really enjoy working to help every member of the team and our wonderful clients & their pets.

Out of work I enjoy long walks in the forest, reading, writing, spending time with my friends and family, going to watch live music & caring for my crested gecko Gloria and our family dog Dougie.

After my second child I decided to have a career change and joined the team when we opened in April 2011. I have found the career transition to be a pleasant change, and find the interaction with clients and patients really interesting and diverse. I really enjoy that no two days are the same and how well we all get along as a team. Away from work I have 2 young boys and a husband who keep me very busy.

I joined the team in August 2011. Previously I worked in banking until I left to become a full time mum. I have 2 small children and a cocker spaniel who keep me extremely busy outside of work. I thoroughly enjoy my role in the team and find it very rewarding meeting customers and animals alike.
