Meet the team
Practice Owner & Veterinary Surgeon I qualified from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Timisoara, Romania in 2004, and in 2006 gained a Master of Science degree in Veterinary Epidemiology. In April 2007, I moved to the UK along with my wife Larissa and our three Bull Terriers.
Before becoming Joint Venture Partner at Companion Care Veterinary surgery in Wakefield, I spent 3 years as a veterinary surgeon at Companion Care Huddersfield surgery, dealing with surgical caseloads and also working closely with local dog breeders. After a short spell as Practice owner at Companion Care Vets Wakefield I had the opportunity to return to Huddersfield as practice owner. I enjoy all aspects of small animal veterinary medicine, but my main interests are in small animal surgery and small animal reproduction. Currently I am studying towards a Certificate in Small Animal Surgery.
I am also very much involved in the dog world, being Chairman of Yorkshire Bull Terrier Club and member of ten Bull Terrier Clubs across the UK. I started breeding Bull Terriers in 2002, but also very much enjoy showing and judging Bull Terriers. I am a great believer in responsible dog breeding and promote highly the health testing for all breeds. Our breeding programme is small, consisting in a litter of puppies every 2 or 3 years, and it’s aimed to produce healthy and quality puppies that will make fantastic family pets.
Please do come and meet us in our Huddersfield surgery - we can show you around and demonstrate what we have to offer. I look forward to meeting you and your pets soon!
I qualified in 2006 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Timisoara, Romania and in April 2007 moved to the UK with my husband Tavi and our three Bull Terriers. Initially I worked as vet in a small animal practice in Doncaster. Between May 2008 and February 2009, when our daughter was born, I was doing vet locum cover across West and South Yorkshire. After 6 months maternity leave I returned as a vet in a small animal practice. In August 2011 I became Joint Venture Partner at Companion Care Vets Wakefield. In July 2013 I decided to leave Companion Care Vets Wakefield and joined Tavi at Companion Care Vets Huddersfield.
I enjoy all aspects of veterinary work, with a particular interest in medical cases. Together with Tavi, I attend to dog shows am involved in Bull Terriers as joint member of ten Bull Terrier Clubs across the UK.
Please come down and meet us, we look forward to welcoming you and your pets!
